Short North Cafe
Our Short North Cafe was our first retail shop and represents its coffee-centric niche as a “theater in the round”. After ordering, you can circle the bar to watch the barista working espresso magic and latte art on the custom Slayer Steam LP, peruse our whole bean and merchandise offerings, or ask our staff about some of the best coffees and teas in the world. For the folks who enjoy a more curated drink, we offer seasonal lattes including our popular shop-prepared mocha, maple and honey sauces. Our Pastry Display includes a variety of scratch-baked goods prepared at our Franklinton Kitchen as well as vegan pastries from our partners at PattyCake Bakery. This location also houses our Cupping & Training Lab located at the back of the shop!
Capital Square in the Huntington Centre
The Capital Square Cafe is located in the first floor lobby (behind the escalators) of the Huntington Office Building in center city Columbus. The retail location is open on weekdays serving the many businesses and residents located in the downtown area. Limited seating is available in the expansive and plant-filled Huntington lobby. Espresso shots and milk steaming are produced on a custom Slayer Steam LP while three unique batch brews are offered each morning for those who need to grab their coffee and get to the office. Later in the day, we recommend single-serve “pour-over” options using Kalita Wave’s. Our Pastry Display includes an assortment of bakery and pastry products as well as savory breakfast and lunch items to accompany your coffee and tea! All of these products are prepared in our own kitchens.
Franklinton Cafe at River & Rich
Our newest cafe & bar is in the Franklinton Neighborhood, just across the Scioto River from the downtown Columbus area. Our 2500 square foot venue includes an abundance of customer seating and is first and foremost the continued evolution of our passion for retail coffee service. From our custom Slayer Steam LP to our high extraction grinders, precision dosers, and “mini” batch brewers, the store represents how we think coffee should be prepared and served. Alongside your single origin espresso and slow-dripped Kyoto, you’ll find an assortment of bakery and pastry products as well as savory breakfast and lunch items to accompany your coffee and tea! All of these products are prepared in our own kitchens. We also carry a selection of vegan pastries from our partners at PattyCake Bakery.
Nate Dickinson
OLC Short North General Manager
Nate joined the One Line team in 2021 after relocating to Columbus from Louisville, Kentucky. A multimedia artist, he enjoys creating music and exploring interior design. Through his solo music project, Idol Mind, he has toured and performed in numerous cities throughout the Midwest. Nate studied sociology at the University of Louisville before joining the management team of a local coffee shop in Louisville, where he developed knowledge in coffee roasting, sourcing, and cupping. After a five-year detour in IT, he ultimately returned to the coffee industry, where he has found his true home at the Short North store!

Dylan Dawson
OLC Franklinton General Manager
Dylan Dawson became the General Manager at the Franklinton Store in early 2023. He began his career at One Line Coffee as a barista in the fall of 2021 and was promoted to Assistant Store Manager in the summer of 2022. Dylan continues to lead the store with much enthusiasm and a strong sense of pride. He finds joy in connecting with regulars and welcoming new faces into the shop each day. He also loves the store’s unique breadth of coffee, espresso and tea beverages as well as pastry/bakery products created on site. The store stands out as a hub of creativity within a vibrant neighborhood that keeps Dylan on his toes and inspires his personal best.
