Meet The Team
Caius Rogers
Production Associate
Caius has been tidily and efficiently helping to keep the production line at the Roastery flowing since 2021. He enjoys the peace & solitude of being in nature, especially so during the snowy months. He is also quite handy at MacGyvering everyday household items into a myriad of useful iterations.
Dave Forman
Director of Wholesale/Founder
Dave founded One Line Coffee in 2009 with his father, Mark, after owning and managing River Road Coffeehouse since 2003. He has worn nearly every hat there is to wear in the industry, as barista, manager, trainer, technician, green buyer, roaster, and director. Through it all, his passion for coffee and people has continued to grow. After 21 years in the industry, his greatest joy and accomplishment come from helping other people realize their dream of opening their own coffeehouse. Dave spends his free time with his wife, Sarah, and two young daughters, Eleanor and Maeve. His hobbies include Olympic style shooting and running ridiculously long distances on 1 mile loops.
Elise Lobenstein
Production Roaster
Elise has been with the company since 2021 and serves as assistant production roaster. She is currently apprenticed to Howard as she continues to perfect her roasting skills. She takes pleasure in the challenges of this rewarding position and is grateful to be surrounded by gracious coworkers and an engaging environment. In her spare time, she enjoys watching history documentaries and riding her motorcycle.
Eric Thomas
Director of Training
Eric’s coffee journey began in 2006 working as a barista in a retail cafe. He later joined One Line Coffee as it opened its flagship Short North cafe in 2012. After nearly two years serving the Short North community, he moved on from service to perform music and tour full-time. During his touring tenure, he and his bandmates released a Billboard Top 200 record, performed a sold-out tour in South Africa, and performed what is considered Hollywood’s most dangerous stunt. After a brief return to Columbus, he quickly relocated to Las Vegas in support of his wife, Dominique, and her career in education. During their six-year residency, Eric sharpened his coffee, hospitality, and customer service skills, quickly earning an award-nomination from the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce. In 2021, he returned to Columbus and One Line Coffee to continue supporting its retail operations. Today, with nearly two decades of coffee-service experience, he looks forward to sharing his knowledge & experiences in support of your journey in coffee!
Howard Rogers
Production & Warehouse Manager
Howard has been roasting with One Line since 2013, with an additional 7 years of coffee experience in shops in a handful of roles. He relishes tackling the unique challenges each production week provides and truly sees hard work as being its own reward. He greatly appreciates the opportunity to continue to work alongside such a beloved group of zany characters who make the job so much more exciting and strives not to take anything in life too seriously, least of all himself. When he’s not making poor attempts at humor, you will often find him quizzically ruminating on what bird he just saw fly by.
Jessica Chadwick
Director of Retail Operations
Jessica studied at Ohio University majoring in Hospitality Management and Business Administration. While a student she found her love of coffee working as a barista on campus. She always loved chatting with customers and making delicious drinks. In 2018 she stumbled upon River Road Coffeehouse/Wiggin Street Coffee. Since starting she has overseen our four coffee shops in Licking and Knox County. More recently she has added our three One Line Coffee shops located in Columbus. Her favorite part about her job is seeing the growth of the store managers and their teams. They truly care about each other, take pride in their stores, and work unbelievably hard to make sure we have great coffee and experience for our customers.
Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her spouse, Brent and three kids Sulley, Sutton, and Srixxon.
Mark Forman
Director of Special Projects/Founder
Mark is the co-founder of One Line Coffee and his love of all things coffee goes back to the seventies when he acquired a Salton countertop coffee roaster and had to search to find green coffee! He also fondly remembers traveling to Seattle when his host took him to see this fabulous new coffee shop that was serving espresso! After careers in education, insurance and health care, he finally got the chance to live his dream. Although his background and formal training was in finance, administration and human resources, he did acquire his barista skills at the River Road Coffeehouse in Granville, Ohio, where he worked on a fairly regular schedule in the store’s early years. He still enjoys his home coffee bar which boasts a hand-built Salvatore Lever Espresso Machine, a Weber HG-1 Grinder, a Technivorm and various pour-over brewers. He is grateful for the opportunity to work with two of his three kids. With wife, Patty, he enjoys their eight grandchildren while still working in the family business and they travel frequently.
Shane Richmond
Packaging/Delivery/Maintenance Associate
Shane has a love for all things outdoors, but specifically hiking and camping. Most of his free time is spent exploring a new section of the state on short road trips with his partner of 14 years, Lia. Their biggest accomplishment being a Spring/Summer spent completing 1,100 miles of the Appalachian Trail, eventually stopping in Pennsylvania. He has a deep love for coffee that started 32 years ago with his grandfather filling up the tiny creamer cups to give him a taste at the local diner. He really enjoys all the varied work he does whether that be production work for the Roastery or delivery and maintenance tasks for a wide variety of accounts. If you’re ever wondering where he is, he’s probably still talking at his previous stop waiting for another coffee or catching up with customers and employees.
Stacey Forman Donnelly
Director of Finance & Administration
Stacey joined the company in 2013 after her initial career as a civil engineer working in transportation. Her MBA from The Ohio State University gave rise to an interest in business and her dad and brother were very excited when she chose to join them in managing and growing both the River Road Coffeehouse company as well as One Line Coffee. While our great coffee is front and center from a customer perspective, there are many systems and processes behind the scene that allow our products to ultimately arrive at their place of serving. Stacey and her husband Mark have two children, Henry and Avienne Ruth. She is overseeing the re-imagination of their single-story brick home built in the 1950’s in addition to being a mom to two young kids,
